Lantz Holtzhower is serving as Assistant Professor in Construction Management Technology in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University. In 2002, he received his Bachelor of Design and a Master of Building Construction from the University of Florida. He received his Ph.D. in spring 2015 from M.E. Rinker Sr., School of Construction Management at the University of Florida.

Professor Holtzhower’s construction experience began in South Florida with James A. Cummings, a Perini Company, on commercial and government projects.  In 2003, he joined Edwards Construction and served as Project Manager for 6 years on commercial, institutional, and tilt-wall food storage warehouse facilities throughout Florida.  In 2009, he continued managing projects for an electrical contractor and a fire protection contractor.  In 2010, he joined Bryant Construction and completed several negotiated projects across the Southeastern U.S. with repeat clients, before returning to graduate school to obtain his doctorate.  He is a licensed Certified Building Contractor in the State of Florida and a member of the USGBC, and holds LEED Green Associate credentials.

Professor Holtzhower’s scholarship interests include energy and water conservation, net-zero energy buildings, and overall sustainable construction.  The current focus of his research is the implementation of low energy and net-zero energy buildings into the institutional construction market.
