The Mississippi Valley Branch of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) established the Bruce Tucker Memorial Scholarship Trust to administer a scholarship program for students interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry. The Trust’s program involves the award of scholarships to students in either Civil Engineering or Construction Technology each year. The number and amounts of the scholarships can vary each year depending upon the interest earnings of our capital investments. In recent times, we have awarded as many as four $1,000-$3,000 scholarships each year. The program is described more fully on the application. Construction Departments in the region designate qualified candidates for submission to the Board of Trustees. From these designee(s) and those from a selected group of other accredited colleges, the Board of Trustees will select recipients for annual scholarship awards. Current recipients in their junior year will be considered for award for their senior year, provided, they submit applications and continue to meet eligibility requirements.
